Valerie Dugan of Lawrenceville
Nominated by Friend, Marianna Slaughter

“My friend was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer and is currently in treatment (chemo and radiation). She has four children (two teenage boys and two elementary school-aged girls) and a husband who is a disabled combat veteran. Recently, a water pipe busted and caused extensive damage to their home and belongings. We would like to nominate this family for ANY possible help. They are a beautiful family who always helps others. Valerie is a prayer warrior for our small group and a wonderful light as our cooking teacher at our homeschool co-op. Thank you and God bless!”

Stacy Greaves of Athens
Nominated by Husband, Mark Greaves

“I’m nominating my wife because it has been rough on her, but she has went above and beyond for our family. First, I was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and went through chemo. Stacy was my caretaker and did a great job. In August, she found out that her sister has stage three ovarian cancer. Stacy made an unselfish decision to bring her sister into our home to take care of her. Stacy is a caretaker for me, her sister and her mother. As much time as my wife gives – I just want her to have a good Christmas.”

Chang Kong Moua of Bethlehem
Nominated by Teacher, Misty Palmer
“Chang is in the fourth grade and back in school after being out for a year-and-a-half for treatment of a cancerous brain tumor. He is left with physical defects as well as legal blindness. His only wish for Christmas is “to get better.” He is one of four children. This family has one income and all efforts are directed to his medical care. I would love for this family to be given the opportunity to do something fun for Christmas. They will not take the time and do not have the money to do for themselves.”
