In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour, cocoa and salt; add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Spread into a greased 9-by-13-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25–30 minutes or until top is dry and the center is set. Cool completely. Dust with confectioner’s sugar if desired.
