1 1/3 cups butter or margarine, softened
2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt
confectioner’s sugar, optional
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour, cocoa and salt; add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Spread into a greased 9-by-13 baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25–30 minutes or until top is dry and the center is set. Cool completely. Dust with confectioner’s sugar if desired.
