Lana’s Best Rolls
1 cup milk
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar + 1 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons yeast
1/4 cup warm water
2 eggs, slightly beaten
4 1/2 to 5 1/2 cups flour
STEP 1
Bring milk, butter, sugar and salt to a near boil; remove from heat and let cool.
STEP 2
Dissolve yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar in warm water then add to cooled milk mixture. Stir in eggs. Mix well. Add 2 1/2 to 3 cups flour and beat. Add 2 to 2 1/2 cups more flour and mix well. Put in well-oiled large bowl. Let rise until the dough doubles in size. Form into rolls then let it rise again. Bake about 15–20 minutes at 350 degrees.
